Happy Monday! Jessica here, sharing yet another peony card! I can’t help it…I’m in love! 😉 To those of you who are waiting for Fresh Cut Peonies to be restocked, hold on just a little longer! It’ll all be worth it!!
So I felt REALLY bad last week when someone asked what ink colors I used for my card because I totally forgot to write them down before I cleaned up my workspace. This week I made sure to write them down so I could share! I used six inks in various combinations…the inks were WPlus9 Little Piggy, WPlus9 Sweet Gelato, Hero Arts Raspberry Jam, Hero Arts Soft Pink, Hero Arts Bubblegum, and Hero Arts Ultra Pink.
To create this card I fussy cut the peonies after stamping the palest bottom layer. Once they were cut I smeared the ink pads over the cut-outs so that there would be no white showing around the edges. After the ink dried I stamped the top two layers. I decided to make more of a floral arrangement rather than just a peony bouquet so I cut the stems and “ornamental grass” from cardstock. The grass will curl on it’s own if you cut a thin enough sliver of cardstock with a paper trimmer. I also stamped the vase twice…the first on white cardstock and the second on vellum so it could be layered over the stems to create the look of a real vase. The cover die is from Lil’ Inker and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn!
Thanks for visiting and I hope you’ll stop by on Wednesday for Ruby’s card! Have a fantastic week!
