Peony Thanks

Good morning and Happy Monday!  Jess here with my first peony cards!  I LOVE this stamp set and obviously you guys do, too!  The Ton is currently sold out of the Fresh Peonies stamp set but you can preorder the set so that you’re the first to get it when it comes back in stock later this month!

peonyAnd if you’re on the fence about buying, hopefully my cards will help sway you!  I started off with just one card but I was having so much fun stamping layers that I ended up with two!

For the first card I stamped the peony onto a piece of glossy cardstock which produced an interesting effect.  The ink pools a little differently on the glossy cardstock so there’s a little less definition in the petals but a little more variation in color.  I use the large single flower as a basis for a shaker card and filled it with the Strawberries and Cream couture mix.  Then I stamped the sentiment from Thanks a Bunch onto vellum and heat-embossed it with gold powder.  I added the sentiment to the front of the shaker and added a sprinkling of sequins to finish it off!

For the second card I stamped the peonies on regular Neenah Solar White cardstock so the layers are more defined.  I added the sentiment from the same Thanks a Bunch stamp set and used foam mounting tape to give it a little dimension.  Finally I added a sprinkling of Glass Slippers sequins in various sizes!

I hope you enjoyed my cards featuring Fresh Cut Peonies and I can’t wait to see what you will create with them!  Thanks for visiting!
