Best Top Coat for Crafters

Nail Polish!

Hey everyone! Today I’m going to post about the best nail polish top coat that I’ve come across that actually works in protecting your nail polish from drying out and chipping after a session or two of crafting and using baby wipes.  I am not getting paid or receiving any products for this blog post. I just wanted to share my opinion on this topic after I found a good top coat because I was getting so frustrated by my chipping nails after just one crafting session.

Ladies, water is your manicure’s enemy!  I know that after a session of crafting where I’m constantly cleaning my stamps with baby wipes, my nail polish dries out and ends up chipping immediately! It’s awful.  Period.  I’ve used Seche Vite, Essie, OPI top coats. No dice. At least not with those crafting baby wipes.  My nails just kept on chipping.

Then I tried using Sally Hansen’s Super Shine Top Coat – AMAZING!! My manicures last a lot longer with this top coat.  I also get better results if I use more than one.

I was surprised this worked so well especially against the other polish companies out there (which I’ve mentioned above).  I picked mine up at CVS for about five or six bucks.  I’m sure you can get it at any drugstore for a similar price.

However ladies, if you’re not planning on crafting for a while and you’re looking for a fast drying top coat, Seche Vite’s Fast Drying Top Coat is pretty awesome.

I did consider getting a gel manicure to avoid all this but there aren’t as many gel manicure colors available – at least not as many as regular polish colors. Also I’m a little afraid of my nails getting ruined from the gel.

Any who I hope you all found this post somewhat helpful! I just thought I’d share this tidbit of information with you all because I found that the Sally Hansen top coat really worked against the necessary use of baby wipes which destroy your nails.  Happy crafting and happy manicures!!
